The Story of Top Flight Hospitality Group & Danfords Hotel & Marina
A Long Island Icon Reimagined
Our Story
Perched on the historic harbor of Port Jefferson, Danfords Hotel & Marina has been a treasured landmark since the late 1800s. Once part of a bustling shipbuilding community, the site evolved from a cluster of small seaside buildings into an inn that welcomed travelers and locals alike, officially opening as the Danfords Inn in 1986. Over the decades, it has become synonymous with waterfront elegance — known for its picturesque marina views, charming guest rooms, and one of the North Shore’s most beloved settings for weddings, gatherings, and getaways.
A New Era of Excellence
In 2025, Top Flight Hospitality Group — a division of J&B Restaurant Partners — proudly took over all Food & Beverage operations at Danfords Hotel & Marina, ushering in a bold new chapter for the iconic property.
With a complete transformation of the restaurant, ballroom and event spaces, as well as the addition of a brand new bridal suite, Top Flight Hospitality has reimagined Danfords into a one-of-a-kind waterfront destination on Long Island.
